Each remodeling project starts with a need which motivates the initial call for a bid. That need may range from additional bedrooms to an enlarged bathroom, or from a family room addition to a master bedroom suite. Once you have designed your needs and determine that your home has the basic components that compel you to want to retain your residence there, we can go to work at designing your addition. We will prioritize the needs that compel the remodeling, document the wants and desires that will make the project worthwhile, and come up with preliminary plans to meet those criteria.
Budget
One important consideration in remodeling is how much can I afford to spend on my home? The professionals at Stronghold Remodeling, Inc. will assist you in making the determination as to what investment your home can support value-wise. The pay back for remodeling comes in many aspects. Increased appraisal value, resale-ability and personal enjoyment are just a few of the benefits to remodeling. We will weight the value of your home against the initial investment and combine that with the approximate cost of your remodeling project to determine a scope of expenditures. This will provide us with a general cost bracket in which we will strive to contain the cost of your project.
Financing
Stronghold Remodeling, Inc. will be actively involved in helping you secure the financing necessary to complete your project. We can provide financing for you. This will take on the form of either equity or non-equity home improvement loans. We will also work hand in hand with your bank to supply the information and communications assistance that is necessary to launch your project.
Initial Visit
Our team-building efforts begin with the first on-site consultation. Our goal is to develop a partnership with you to meet and exceed your needs and expectations. Our first consultation will involve brainstorming which encompasses a discussion of the above needs and wants, budgetary restraints and financing. Our experts can show you what can be done and your expertise can keep us focused on what you want accomplished. Through this exchange of information and ideas, a skeleton will be formed as to the basic concept for meeting your needs. At this point, we will discuss the option of accepting our Design/Remodel program to accomplish your project.
Design/Remodel System
Designing your remodeling project requires a great deal of effort on both your part and the part of the designer of choice. When you involve Stronghold Remodeling, Inc. as your designer, we can keep the design of your project in line with the budgetary restraints that govern decision making. In the remodeling and construction industry, spending money is never difficult. The challenge arises in getting the maximum usage of your investment dollar in home or business improvements. In order to accurately price a project, it is vital that all the decisions and specifications be determined. At Stronghold Remodeling, we will work with you hand in hand to determine the specifications, design options, provide price estimates and fine tune your project specifically to meet all the objectives we have established. Once this process is completed, we can then provide you with the exact cost and a defined project scope that will be involved in achieving these goals.
We will enter into a Design/Remodel Agreement together that establishes a fee for the design and planning that will go into your project. This fee is based on the overall size of the project and ranges between $500 - $5,000.00. The retainer established to procure our services is far below the actual cost of the time investment we will have in the project. Therefore all designs will remain the property of Stronghold Remodeling, Inc. We keep accurate records of the time investment in the design portion of the bid process and if you desire to purchase these plans and project detailing that we generate, you can do so by paying the additional cost above the retainer incurred in generating the plans. The amount of retainage is applied directly against the job cost once you accept the bid provided by Stronghold Remodeling, Inc. We are confident that once you have had the opportunity to work with our team of honest and caring professionals, you will enlist our services for the entire project.
